​​The National Incident Management System is a systematic, proactive approach to guide departments and agencies at all levels of government, nongovernmental organizations, and the private sector to work together seamlessly and manage incidents involving all threats and hazards—regardless of cause, size, location, or complexity—in order to reduce loss of life, property and harm to the environment.

Compliance and Verification Forms

Prior to allocation of any Federal preparedness awards in FY 2017, recipients must ensure and maintain adoption and implementation of National Incident Management System. Emergency management and incident response activities require carefully managed resources (personnel, teams, facilities, equipment and/or supplies) to meet incident needs. The Kentucky Office of Homeland Security’s “National Incident Management System Implementation Objectives for State and Local Governments form” assists our grant division in monitoring the implementation progress of each of its grantees.
