A Request for Information (RFI) is a formal request, most commonly used in law enforcement case support.  RFIs may serve several purposes but the two most common request types we respond to at the KIFC include:

  1. Clarification: Clarification on specific aspects of a project or case, such as technical details, specifications, or requirements that may not be fully understood at the present time.

  2. Information Gathering: RFIs are used to gather detailed information about a specific case, threat, or threat group.
